I started out this morning with the same Euphoria that I get on Black Friday! Our local grocery store chain, Jay C Foods, ran a 50% off sale on almost all of their Kellogg brand foods and other things… cereal, breakfast bars, cookies, crackers, etc.
I spent probably an hour last night going through my coupons getting them ready for the sale. Normally, I am a General Mills’ cereal buyer because they support Box Tops for Education, however, in light of this sale… I was quickly converted!
I have a couple of “BEST” deals that I was SO excited about…
- Their Special K breakfast bars were on sale for $1.99. Then with the 50% off sales, they were $.99. I had 2 coupons for $.75/1 and 1 coupon for $1/2. So I got two boxes for $.24 a piece and the other two boxes for $.49 a piece!!! So in the end I got 4 boxes of Special K Cereal Bars for $1.46!!!!!! That is a total savings from retail price of $11.30!
- I bought two boxes of YoGos. They weren’t on sale but the regular price was 2.99 a box. Since they are Kellogg products, they were 50% off too. I also had 2 $.50/1 coupons. So I got both boxes of YoGos for $.99 each. That is a total savings of $4.00!!!
The list goes on and on…
But another of my favorite finds today was this…
Nature Valley Honey Roasted Nut Clusters were regular price at $4.49. However, I had downloaded a $1/1 coupon from cellfire.com onto my shopping card. I also had a printed $1/1 coupon. I decided to try to use both… and it worked!! SO I saved $2.00 and spend $2.49!!!
This couponing thing is really paying off! Thanks Danielle and Jennifer for getting me started! Thanks to bargainbriana.com and thekrazycouponlady.com for giving me the tools to start! I spent $32.51 this morning for $83.37 worth of groceries! My stockpile has started and I am excited to keep it going!
I look to blog about my couponmania at least once a week!
Happy Saving y’all!!
